Chris Mathews has been appointed by Greg A. Cohen, Caine & Weiner’s, President and CEO, effective March 2, to be the company’s Chief Financial Officer, reporting directly to Greg Cohen.

“We are especially pleased to welcome Chris to the Caine & Weiner family and as a member of the newly created executive team,” said Mr. Cohen. “His background and extensive knowledge of the industry, specifically in the financial realm of business, makes him uniquely qualified to contribute to our vision and leadership team. In this industry, you cannot top experience, and Chris has precisely the skill set we want in a Chief Financial Officer. His previous diverse management experience, combined with our personal long-standing relationship, will allow him to have an immediate positive impact for our stakeholders.”

Chris spent the past 3 years with Columbia Ultimate in charge of The Collector System product for Columbia Ultimate. During his time there, he generated proposals for major customers and worked with customers on performance improvements. Prior to joining Columbia Ultimate, he spent 23 years with Nationwide Recovery Systems (NRS) in Dallas, TX. During that period, Chris served as both CFO and CIO, and for the last 7 years of his tenure with NRS as CEO. Chris managed a staff of over 300, serving clients in the commercial, consumer, and healthcare verticals. Chris received his BBA from Texas A&M University, specializing in Finance.

As Caine & Weiner’s Chief Financial Officer, he will be responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions including strategic financial oversight related to budget management, cost benefit analysis, reporting, efficiency opportunities, system integration and forecasting. In additional to adding value to our financial department, Chris will have touch points with IT, operations, organizational development, corporate strategic planning and oversight of C&W’s human resources and other related activities. His office will be located at the Woodland Hills, CA center.

In alignment with the strategic intent contained in Caine & Weiner’s mission/vision statement, on-going investment in people, procedures, compliance and technology; other core C-level executive roles have been realigned in order to maximize all available resources include the following appointments:

Joe Batie, formerly Senior Vice President, will now serve as the Chief Commercial Officer of Caine & Weiner. In his new role, Joe will deliver strategic leadership defining the marketable path to growth and profitability of the company as well as the expansion of Caine & Weiner’s effective growth plan, infrastructure and service diversification. He will also lead the company’s client relations, sales and marketing departments and manage the expansion of business development opportunities with an emphasis on superior client satisfaction, market penetration and sales objectives. Joe brings over 29 years of industry experience to his new role within Caine & Weiner.

Mark Milstein, formerly Senior Vice President – Operations, will now serve as Chief Operating Officer of Caine & Weiner. Mark Milstein has been with Caine & Weiner the last 5 years and has over 20 years of successful industry experience. In his new role Mark will provide the leadership for Caine & Weiner’s collection strategy, quality assurance, IT, compliance programs, vendor relationships and collection management team. Mark provides the vision and implementation oversight that ensures the company has proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, IT resources, and personnel placement across all of Caine & Weiner’s national branches to effectively provide superior client satisfaction and maximize recovery results. Mark will continue to facilitate the effective growth of the organization as well as the operating efficiencies necessary to maintain the longstanding financial strength of Caine & Weiner.
