While debt collection remains in the Top Three Most-Complained-About Products for the CFPB's complaint portal, it's not growing with the same gusto as, say, Student Loans.

The CFPB published its October Complaint Report for October 2016. Each monthly complaint report uses a three-month rolling average.

Student Loans saw the biggest jump, year-over-year, going from 638 in the three-month quarter of July - September of 2015 to 1,248 for July - September of 2016.

Debt collection, on the other hand, though still in that top three, saw only a 5 percent climb from 2015, from 7,464 to 7,830.
