Jesse Riddle of Riddle & Associates, P.C. Appointed to Board of Regents at Oxford University

Riddle & Associates, a professional corporation, today announced that Jesse L. Riddle (42) was appointed the board of regents for the Harris Manchester College at Oxford University in Oxford, England.

Riddle was appointed at a formal induction ceremony June 18 in Oxford in the College Chapel with introductions and remarks made by Dr. Ralph Waller, Harris Manchester College principal.

“As we add members to our number, we are aware that a college exists through the accumulation of its tradition and history, and that those things are made and developed by the members of that college,” Waller said. “It is in this spirit that we welcome Jesse Riddle to Oxford and to Harris Manchester College today.”

The board of regents for Harris Manchester College is comprised of 22 members who serve three-year terms and act as advisors to the college. Regents meet four times a year, twice yearly at Oxford University.

“This invitation to sit as a member of the Harris Manchester College board of regents at Oxford University is truly an honor,” Riddle said. “Oxford is world renowned for its excellence in education and the positive contributions its graduates have made to society. So I am honored to aide an institution that offers students such exceptional educational opportunities. It is my hope to introduce many of our gifted Utah students to Oxford University.”

Members of the board of regents are selected from various fields of commerce, religion and science by exclusive invitation. Established in 1786, the Harris Manchester College offers various degrees in history, philosophy, theology and higher degrees in clinical psychology and business administration. Oxford University currently has more than 16,500 students enrolled in 39 colleges. Notable graduates from Oxford include such prominent world figures as Sir Thomas More, C.S. Lewis, John Wesley, Sir Alexander Flemming, John Locke, William Penn, Oscar Wilde, J. R. R. Tolkien, Stephen Hawking and many others.
