They both started out in empty, stripped down buildings, with nothing but a bright red sign signifying that they’d “Made it Marion” to show that a business would soon be opening there.


As call center Titan Recovery Group nears the end of its first year in Marion, IN and paper plate manufacturer Winterfield LLC prepares to hit the six-month mark, however, both have made dramatic changes to their buildings and are preparing to hire more employees.


They’re still trying to perfect operations in order to operate at full capacity, but officials for both companies said they hope to achieve that goal within the next year.


When Georgia-based Titan Recovery Group announced they would locate a debt collection call center in Marion in December, the company said it planned to renovate the former Leath furniture building downtown, to employ 75 to 100 workers within six months and 250 within a year and a half.
