SITEL Corporation, a leading global provider of outsourced customer support services, opened new contact centers in Colombia and Brazil during the third quarter of 2005. The new contact centers in Brazil and Colombia are owned by SITEL. In addition to these openings, SITEL also opened operations in Argentina in a client’s facility.

SITEL Colombia opened a new facility in Bogota to further expand its market share in Colombia. The Company now operates in five locations, four in Bogota and one in Medellin. The new facility has started with 110 workstations with the ability to double in size as new business is awarded. Antonio Pinto, COO of SITEL Latin America, said, “We are very pleased with the opening of our new site in Bogota. Our sales efforts and strategies have paid off in this market place. We have positioned ourselves as an added value provider in Colombia thus winning numerous new clients over the last year.”


SITEL Argentina opened with a contact center operating in a client facility in Buenos Aires. Antonio Pinto, in discussing Argentina, said, “Strategically, Argentina will play a key role in the local market as well as provide an offshore alternative for our new and current clients throughout Latin America and Europe. We expect to expand our Argentina operations very quickly due to the current pipeline of potential new business.”


SITEL Brazil opened a new facility located north of Sao Paulo. The Company now operates three locations throughout Brazil. The new site is planned to add 900 new workstations of capacity for SITEL Brazil. Antonio Pinto stated, “We are very pleased to move to a lower cost area of Sao Paulo. Our Brazilian operations continue to grow and this will position us for the long-term growth we are anticipating in this market.”


Pinto further stated, “With our presence in Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Brazil and, now, Argentina, we continue to be a leader in the BPO arena in Latin America. It is extremely important to be able to provide our clients with a pan-Latin American offering as this important market grows.”
