British consumers pay up to an extra 100 million pounds ($182 million) each year to store card providers, a competition watchdog said on Wednesday, as it unveiled plans to force greater transparency in the 4.8 billion-pound business. The Competition Commission said it had concluded that there were features in the store cards business that insulated retailers and credit providers from competitive pressures.
