Creating more sales, coaching employees to success and cold calling creativity are among the highlights of the International Association of Commercial Collectors ’ (IACC) Annual Mid Year Management Conference at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego from June 5-7.

During this day-and-a-half conference, agency owners, CEOs, attorneys and other executive-level professionals in the commercial collection field will hear from national speakers like sales guru Chris Jennings and team building and coaching expert Vilis Ozols. In addition to the multitude of education sessions on topics imperative to the commercial collection business, attendees will have a chance for numerous networking opportunities with the industry’s top professionals.

Agenda highlights of this year’s conference include:

  • Staying Warm While Cold Calling. Even the most experienced sales person can shy away from cold calling. It’s important to understand the significant impact correct cold calling can make during the sales process. This session, led by Senior Vice President Karolyn Rubin of Bonded Collection Corporation in Chicago, focuses on several key elements necessary to execute and deliver cold calling techniques, including: learning how to effectively overcome a prospect’s objection, enhancing the prospect’s interest and building confidence by delivering the right messages.
  • Personnel Challenging You: What’s Your Best Move? Employees can bring your agency great success, but they can also bring it down. In this panel session participants learn what to know about and how to deal with managing and disciplining employees, using their own real-life workplace experiences as a jumping off point.
  • Break the Rules & Close More Sales. This 90-minute interactive session helps both new and veteran sales experts make the most out of every opportunity by showing attendees how to make their sales activities work. Nationally-renowned speaker Chris Jennings, owner of the Sandler Sales Institute in Irvine, California, explains how to increase your sales, get customers to stop focusing on the price, stopping free consulting and shortening your sales cycle.
  • Coaching and Teambuilding for the Collections Industry. Nationally-known coaching leader Vilis Ozols brings his business training expertise to this session, which shares proven coaching techniques and team building “do’s” and “don’ts” aimed at helping your agency accomplish its collection goals.
