Gila Corporation, through its business unit Municipal Services Bureau (MSB), is pleased to announce two recent contract agreements.

MSB will provide outsourced collections services to Austin Energy. “We look forward to expanding our established mutually beneficial business relationship with the City of Austin to include Austin Energy,” said Patrick J. Swanick, Gila Corporation’s CEO.

MSB has been working with the city of Austin since 2002 and recently renewed a contract with the City for court collections in 2007. MSB will be collecting delinquent utility bills and is one of three partners Austin Energy selected for utility collections.

In addition, MSB has been hired by the Third Circuit Court of Michigan to provide collections services for delinquent fines and fees. MSB was selected as the winning bidder based upon its combination of credentials, capabilities, service and cost.

“While the Court provides timely access to justice and resolves disputes in an equitable manner, MSB works as an extension of the Court staff, increasing revenues for the Court through its professional collections efforts”, said Swanick, “This will positively impact the fiscal position of the Court and Wayne County and we are delighted to expand our client base with a court that has been nationally recognized as a model of best judicial practices,” said Swanick.
