The U.S. asset-backed securities market finished the heaviest new-issue week in two months after nearly $3 billion of supply was absorbed on Friday, bringing the week’s total to $7 billion.


Yield spreads on the day’s biggest deals ? a $1 billion home equity offering from Household International Inc. and a $1.6 billion car loan securitization from Mitsubishi Motors Corp. ? were mixed at the time of pricing, either wider or tighter than initial price expectations.
