A suit has been filed against Commerce Bank by a Middlesex County man who says customer names, account numbers and balances were sold by five bank workers to a person who distributed the information to debt collection agencies and other third parties.

Filed Wednesday in Superior Court, Camden, the suit names Charles W. Pornovets as the plaintiff on behalf of himself and other Commerce customers affected by a plot to handle improperly confidential customer information.
