MAXIMUS, a leading provider of government services, announced today it has been awarded a two-year, $73.7 million contract to continue providing Medicaid managed care enrollment services to more than 2.1 million individuals receiving public health insurance in New York City, as well as Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The contract has a two-year extension option, followed by another one-year extension option.


MAXIMUS has operated New York Medicaid Choice, the Medicaid managed care enrollment program, since August 1998. As part of its services, MAXIMUS operates a statewide HelpLine in several languages and provides a comprehensive education and outreach program that includes a multi-lingual call center, direct mail educational literature, in-person presentations, partnerships with community-based organizations, and a city-wide media campaign.
