Genpact, formerly GE Capital International Services, today announced that it has been ranked third amongst the best companies to work for in India in a study conducted by the international consulting firm, Mercer, and TNS, a leading global provider of market information, in association with India’s leading business magazine, Business Today. A pioneer in the Indian BPO industry, Genpact today employs over 19,000 associates across the world.

The Business Today ’10 Best Companies To Work For In India’ survey ranks Genpact highly on employee satisfaction and employee confidence in the management. Thirty-five percent of the total score came from an internal employee perception questionnaire that TNS administered to a random sampling of employees. The other metrics were HR Processes and Policies, HR Metrics, and Stakeholder Perception, where Genpact had the highest ranking in India.

Mercer Human Resource Consulting, an international HR consulting firm, developed the methodology and arrived at the shortlisted companies. The entire front-end of the survey, and the data collection and aggregation, was managed by international market research major TNS’ Indian arm.

“To be recognized for our HR practices and policies by this highly acclaimed survey is an honour for us here at Genpact,” said Pramod Bhasin, President & CEO of Genpact. “This ranking demonstrates the commitment and emphasis Genpact invests in attracting, retaining and nurturing the finest talent in India.”

Genpact, which runs its own Education@Work program, invests more than 1.5 million hours on training every year.

The survey results are detailed in the November 20, 2005 issue of Business Today.
