David Reak joined West Asset Management as EVP of Portfolio Purchase in November of 2007. In his role, David is responsible for purchasing, sales and management of the West Asset Management portfolios.

Prior to West, David was Chief Credit Officer of Friedman’s Jewelers in Addison, Texas. He has been in the Accounts Receivable Management industry for over 20 years, beginning with American Express. After 12 years with American Express, he became Chief Credit Officer of Metris Companies and has held other positions in the ARM industry with Intrepid Capital Partners and PeopleSupport.
David holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from SUNY, Brockport and is a Certified Public Accountant.
