NuComm International, the largest privately-held Canadian provider of customer relationship and contact centre services, was recently awarded the Gold Trophy recipient of the prestigious Canada Awards for Excellence (CAE) for 2005 by The National Quality Institute (NQI).

The CAE Quality Award is based on the Canadian Framework for Excellence, which is used by many organizations as a management model for continuous improvement and achievement of great operational results. To receive a Gold Trophy, organizations must have fully met the criteria of the framework with documented overall achievements and results.

NQI’s annual awards program recognizes Canadian organizations that have demonstrated sustainable measures of continuous improvement through a commitment to innovation, productivity, healthy workplace and ethics. NuComm is among 13 recipients honoured this year at the 2005 Performance Excellence Summit on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto.

“The 2005 winners demonstrate the importance of excellence to a wide range of organizations ? be they large manufacturers, smaller service providers, schools, or health care facilities,” said Cameron Hyde, Chairman of NQI and Senior Vice President and General Manager, North America Agent Operations, Xerox Corporation. “By investing in quality processes and healthy workplace practices, they have achieved impressive results in 2005.”

Since 1984, the award has honoured over 300 Canadian organizations for outstanding achievements. This coveted award is tangible evidence of an organization?s level of excellence and is presented only to those that have fully met the intent of the NQI Criteria, with documented overall achievement and results.
