Ontario Systems and HTP announce a partnership to integrate their healthcare revenue management applications to accelerate providers’ revenue cycles and provide increased service and communication with their patients. Ontario Systems’ Artiva Healthcare receivables management system will now work seamlessly with HTP’s RevRunnerTM pre-registration technology for patient identification, insurance verification, bill estimation and authorization.

Mercy Health Partners – Southwest Ohio, in the greater Cincinnati area, will be the first to integrate HTP RevRunner with its existing Artiva Healthcare system. This will allow the healthcare system to improve its customer service by verifying all insurance information, obtaining the patient responsibility portion, securing all authorizations and confirming the scheduled service with the patient. It also will accelerate the healthcare system’s revenue cycle by working with the patient to provide payment or creating a payment arrangement at the time of service.

"We currently use HTP and Ontario Systems’ products independent of each other. The integration of these tools will enable us to strategically manage the entire revenue cycle," said Renee George, Mercy Health Partners’ regional vice president, revenue cycle. "By integrating the pre-registration process with the receivables management application, we will increase our efficiency, cost-effectiveness and also accelerate our revenue cycle."

HTP provides patient identity, insurance verification, financial aid processing and point-of-service bill estimation technology while Ontario Systems’ application offers account segmentation, workflow automation and exception handling. The combined system also assists in the pre-authorization process by identifying accounts requiring pre-authorization, grouping them by payer so multiple accounts can be handled during a single call and recording the call for future reference, if necessary.

"We believe that by integrating HTP RevRunner into the Artiva Healthcare product, healthcare organizations will be able to increase cash collections while decreasing bad debt," said Steve Beard, Ontario Systems’ vice president for strategic relations. "At the same time, they will actually be able to improve their customer service and patient satisfaction."

"As patients are expected to bear a greater portion of their healthcare costs, it is important for providers to have the tools to better manage the new realities of healthcare," said Leigh Orlov, HTP’s vice president for business development. "This partnership will provide Mercy Health Partners and other healthcare providers with an integrated tool to provide greater customer service, increased staff efficiency and increased revenues."
