Astra Business Services
announced that it has received ISO 27001 certification using protocols built around Ontario Systems’ Artiva Agency product. The certification allows Astra to continue its rapid growth as many large credit grantors require this certification to demonstrate appropriate consumer information security.

ISO 27001 certification is the highest level, international standard for evaluating a company’s security policies and procedures, and its compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ISO 27001 certificate provides qualified, independent evidence that Astra protects consumers’ personal information. To achieve this certification, Astra underwent a comprehensive examination of its systems and processes by a major, international, third-party auditor.

“Protecting consumer information must be a priority for every organization entrusted with this information,” said Wil Davis, Ontario Systems’ president and chairman. “Our products make it simple for organizations to create and follow appropriate protocols and regulations related to consumer privacy.”

Astra Business Services is a venture-funded U.S. company with call centers at multiple locations in northern India. Most of Astra’s work to date has involved management of delinquent receivables. Astra has been assigned responsibility for more than 2.5 million accounts involving $1.75 billion. Ontario Systems provides debt collection software to organizations that manage large volumes of accounts receivables.
