Park Ridge, IL — On Monday, June 11, Van Ru Credit Corporation employees made their first donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, the national wish-granting organization dedicated to making wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Michelle Jimenez, corporate relations manager for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois, visited Van Ru?s headquarters in Park Ridge to accept the company?s donation and to share the story of the child whose wish will come true as a result of Van Ru?s gift. The company?s donation was made as a part of the Foundation?s Adopt-A-Wish program and will fund the cost of granting the vacation wish of a child in the northern Illinois region.

“We are so pleased with the overwhelming response of our employees. We began this program in April and have already reached 60 percent of our annual giving goal for Make-A-Wish,” stated Joe Fazzini, executive vice president of Van Ru. “Make-A-Wish is a very important organization and our employees support the remarkable work that they do for children in our community.”

Van Ru employees contribute to the company?s wish granting initiative by “buying”casual days. For a small donation to the Foundation, employees may come in to the office on designated Make-A-Wish days in casual work clothes. All participants wear Make-A-Wish stickers throughout the day to show their support for the Foundation and the children they serve.

As one of the nation?s fastest growing privately owned receivables management firms, Van Ru staffs more than 1,200 employees among five office locations nationwide. The company has industry expertise in the areas of healthcare, government, education, telecommunications, and financial services.
