State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal told a public hearing Tuesday night that Yale-New Haven is “one of the nation’s greatest medical institutions” -? but it needs to do more. For starters, it should help restore the credit rating for each patient who has suffered under its debt-collection practices.


In testimony before the Board of Aldermen’s Human Services Committee at City Hall, Blumenthal urged the hospital to work with patients to ensure that bad credit will not impede housing or job opportunities down the road.
