In a note to clients, a JP Morgan analyst said he expects Freddie Mac to settle a pending shareholder lawsuit in the next few weeks for more than $400 million, according to a story by Reuters.
The lawsuit stems from accounting problems that led to a $5 billion restatement by Freddie in 2003.
