American College Of Healthcare Executives Panel Discussion

Local healthcare executives who collaborated in 2006 to establish a local program council (LPC) of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) will host a panel discussion in Chattanooga on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. at the Memorial Health Care System Community Room.

The topic of the discussion is “Walking the Public Reporting Systems Minefield.” This is the local program council’s second educational event. “Our panelists for this educational session will provide a wide range and depth of experiences for this topic. Attendees will leave the session with some specific examples of how to gauge their organizations readiness for public reporting of outcomes,” said Mark Sims, CEO of Parkridge East Hospital.

Mr. Sims is the 2007 Chairperson for the Chattanooga local program council.

Moderator for the panel discussion on February 22 is Robert P. Main, President and CEO of Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation. Panelists include Chris Clarke, RN, Senior Vice President for Clinical Services of the Tennessee Hospital Association; Doyle Love, Executive Director, Life Care Center of East Ridge; Ann Thompson, RN, Licensure Manager, Tennessee Department of Health; and Sandi Raley, Vice President for Quality, Parkridge Medical Center, Inc.

ACHE is an international professional society of 30,000 healthcare executives who lead our nation’s hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. The Chattanooga local program council is an affiliate of Knoxville’s ACHE chapter, East Tennessee Healthcare Executives Association (ETHEA). ACHE is known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs that help healthcare executives professionally and effectively address healthcare issues and trends.

The educational event on Feb. 22 will provide ACHE members with continuing education credit.
