Conifer Health Solutions, a leader in business process solutions for healthcare providers, today announced that Daniel M. Karnuta has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He will serve as a member of the company’s executive leadership team and will report to Conifer President Stephen Mooney.

Karnuta has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting and taxation, as well as in human resources and information technology operations. He most recently served as Executive Director of Finance at Dell, Inc., leading the company’s divisional CFOs in financial decision support for the operating segments of the Dell Services business unit.

At Conifer, Karnuta will be responsible for providing leadership in the administrative, financial planning, accounting and budgeting areas of the company. He will also ensure that financial controls are in place and fiscal guidance is provided to the entire organization, as well as advise members of the Executive Team on all financial matters related to facilitating and implementing the company’s strategic plans.

Previously, Karnuta held several key financial roles at Perot Systems Corporation, including Chief Financial Officer of the Healthcare Industry Group and later Vice President of Planning and Decision Support. In all, he served 18 years in domestic and international leadership positions at Dell and Perot Systems after spending eight years in public accounting at Price Waterhouse. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from American University in Washington, D.C. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
