D&B Receivable Management Services (D&B RMS), headquartered in Bethlehem, PA with offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong and Mexico, has completed a $3 million investment to launch a major web enabling initiative for its receivable management systems. The new web-driven systems will allow customers to place accounts for collection and view account activity, generate customized reports and interact with collectors and management-all from a secure web-based environment. Debtors will also be able to view and pay debts on-line.

“Web enabling is a giant step forward for us and the receivables industry as a whole,” said David Huebner, President and CEO, D&B Receivable Management Services. “Speed and efficiency is what ultimately drives the collections industry today. Our investment in this technology will benefit our customers.”

D&B RMS’ web enablement is comprised of three components: viewing, reporting and interactive capabilities.

“The viewing capability will allow customers to not just view a claim in a secure environment but track our progress in collecting it,” said Lou Bonica, VP, Information Services. “Debtors will be able to see any relevant information pertaining to their debt that will help to expedite their payment.”

Customers will also benefit from control the reporting capability will give them. “Customers will be able to gauge our performance through a series of metrics that can be presented in various graphic formats,” said Bonica. “The reporting tool is multidimensional, allowing customers to organize their reporting by country, state, region, or branches-it’s entirely driven by their needs.”

The interactive component is also expected to expedite collection efforts. “Often, we reach a point in the collection process where we communicate with our customer and wait for their direction before continuing,” said Bonica. “The new system will allow customers to respond back quickly via the web.”

According to Bonica, D&B RMS’ ability to interface with customer systems and multiple databases simultaneously will also be greatly enhanced.

“Technology is a key driver in business in this century and D&B RMS continues with its strong history of developing innovative solutions adding value for each and everyone of our customers,” stated Huebner.
