Rhode Island is sitting on about $42 million worth of uncollected court fines. How to recoup that loss, according to a story on the website Turnto10.com, is a bit of a contentious mixed bag.



Court officials are currently speaking with other government agencies and private vendors ? including collection agencies — to determine how they can collect fines more efficiently, said Craig Berke, a court spokesman.
