DALLAS — Paul Diegelman, vice president of finance and accounting optimization for BancTec, has been asked by the International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP) to join its Strategic Advisory Council (SAC).

IAPP is a worldwide member organization of more than 6,000 accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR) professionals. The IAPP’s SAC represents a cross-section of leaders from shared services, AP and AR, and includes corporate controllers, directors, managers and other executives from some of the world’s largest companies. The SAC helps set the strategic direction of IAPP and the AP/AR profession through recommendations and guidance sent to the organization’s global board of directors. Because of its influence within IAPP, the SAC is also a key vehicle for developing the organization’s future board leaders.

"I’m honored to be asked by the IAPP to serve in a role that will impact the organization as well as the accounts payable and accounts receivable professions," said Diegelman. "It’s also a recognition of the capabilities that BancTec delivers to help large organizations improve processes and reduce the costs of their payables, receivables and working capital management functions. I look forward to joining IAPP’s SAC and participating in my first planning session on September 16th."
