Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter has asked a coalition of telemarketing firms to drop its support of a second petition filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that would increase telemarketing calls in the state.

Thirty-three groups were listed on the petition asking the FCC to declare that states can only regulate calls that originate in Indiana, said Carter.
