transmodus, the technology leader in on-demand check processing and collections, announced today that they are offering a simple, fast and affordable method for processors to send returned check data and images directly into their automated collection processing systems from any number of remote locations. This automation works for high and low volume applications by supporting commonly used scanning equipment. Once scanned the processor and their clients maintain online access to real-time reports with check images to monitor any transaction and online customer service tools that are capable of canceling transactions or even issuing refunds.

A remote processing partner is provided with a client side interface to the scanner that connects them by https, or .ftp to send their files for direct processing. Real-time security is provided by authenticating client against online systems, while providing secure and encrypted transport for transmission of sensitive transactional data. The processing partner can also place scanning equipment at their customer, or bank partner locations.

“Having been in the check processing business for a number of years I see this transport as a major innovation that will free our office from data entry. The best part is that it is a single entry for the recovery and secondary collections processing of all returned checks which I’ve not seen before,” says Leroy Leyba, President of eCollect in New Mexico.

Features included in the client side interface include automatic send options based on processor determine batch sizes. A data and image archive is also maintained on the processor side computer and any check scanned can be located, re-sent if needed, viewed for reference or printed.

“It is all about efficiency. Using high speed check data and image transport our office can send an entire day of processing directly into transmodus.net in less than 5 minutes and focus our time developing new business. The speed and security of the real-time encryption is also important to us and our clients. The days of individually scanning checks into a PC-based software solution are over,” according to Robert Patton, Managing Partner of the transmodus Business Consulting Office in Oklahoma City.
