An Itasca-based software developer today is launching a “hybrid mail” product — half electronic mail/half snail mail — designed to help American corporations lick the high cost of mailing letters.


David Frenkel, 57, president and chief executive of PrintSoft Americas Inc., calculated that corporations spend far more than the value of a 37-cent stamp to mail first-class letters. Document experts estimate the cost per piece of first-class mail ranges from $1.20 to $2.
