The two principals behind the former Great Lakes Bureau debt collection firm — since acquired by NCO — have formed a new company and that firm has announced plans to anchor the fledgling Calspan Technology Park in Cheektowaga.

Joel Castle and Joseph Mosey, who sold Great Lakes Bureau in 1997, have formed the Northstar Cos., an Amherst-based company that also focuses on the collection industry.

The fast-growing company has added 50 employees since January and expects to hire 300 more within the next six months.
