National debt recovery firm Bridgement Smith Collections has announced plans to build a new head office in Brisbane Technology Office Park, Brisbane, Australia.

In contrast to the recent news of large debt collection agency RMG Limited calling in voluntary administrators, Bridgement Smith Collections Director Mike Howard says the new $1.5 million head office signals the company?s focus on growth and expansion in Australia and international markets.

As Chairman of the Australian Institute of Mercantile Agent’s National Debt Collection Committee and President of the Institutes’ Queensland State Division, Howard says “I cannot stress how important it is for businesses of all sizes to have prudent financial controls and stringent credit policies in place.”

The board of Bridgement Smith Collections is dedicated to ensuring that all offices continue to provide current and future clients with industry leading service and 24 hour on-line access to referred collection files.

“Our new custom-built head office, expected for completion in late 2005, will contain a state-of-the-art communication centre maintaining high speed links to all of our offices in Australia and New Zealand,” Howard says.

As an initiative of the Queensland Department of State Development (DSD), Brisbane Technology Park is located on over 30 hectares of a purpose-built-technology precinct and is home to a large number of prestigious national and multi-national companies.

Established in 1993, Bridgement Smith Collections is a privately owned Australian debt recovery firm with offices in Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Wellington.

With over 50 staff and in excess of $100 million under management the firm provides professional and personalised service in debt recovery, credit management and training.
