Garnet Capital Advisors, LLC today announced the opening of a new office in Atlanta, Georgia. The office, to be headed by loan-industry veteran Cliff Bargeron, will focus on client coverage in the Southeast, and on developing Garnet’s commercial loan sale business nationwide.

Cliff brings to Garnet over fifteen years of commercial lending experience. Most recently, Cliff was a business development officer for GMAC Commercial Finance and GE Corporate Lending, where he was responsible for providing financing solutions to businesses in transition. Cliff began his career as a relationship manager in the Commercial Finance division of SunTrust. In all, Cliff has been involved in approximately $900 million in financings, including asset-based, securitization, floorplan and leveraged cash flow transactions. Cliff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia.

“The addition of Cliff Bargeron to our client-development and sales staff brings us tremendous added value,” said Garnet Managing Partner Lou DiPalma. “In achieving standout results with some of the country’s largest and most respected commercial originators, Cliff has amassed tremendous expertise in complex business-loan assets and developed a broad client base among decision-makers in the commercial lending sector. Cliff’s location in Atlanta will enable us to bring Garnet’s personalized, intensive client service to our clients in the Southeast.”

Atlanta is the third major office opening in the past six months for the New York-based financial firm. In July Garnet opened its first international office in Warsaw, Poland, and in September established operations in Chicago.
