NARCA has been rebranded. The association’s tag-line is no longer “National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys.” Instead, the group will now identify itself with “Legal Collection Professionals.”

The broader description reflects the organization’s announced push for new members, new services for existing members, and new positioning within the receivable management industry as a whole.

“The new logo says legal collection professionals,” said Ira Leibsker, NARCA’s President, this morning at the group’s spring conference in Miami Beach, Florida. “Our ultimate goal is to make NARCA members the collection choice for all credit grantors.” Leibsker is a partner in the Chicago law firm of Blatt, Hasenmiller, Leibsker, & Moore.

As collection agencies, debt buyers, and creditors themselves increasingly utilize legal collection channels, the organization’s new positioning has the potential to significantly expand its reach over time. The group’s announced plans include more data collection and benchmarking among NARCA members.

Discussion subjects at the group’s conference will include regulatory reforms, management issues, and separate tracks for in-house counsel and collection managers. The conference concludes on Saturday, May 20.
