Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. (WWR) is pleased to announce that WWR Managing Partner Alan H. Weinberg was recently elected to serve a three-year term as a Director for The American Board of Certification (ABC).  The ABC is the nation’s premier legal specialty certification organization, certifying attorneys as specialists in business bankruptcy, consumer bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law.  Mr. Weinberg has been certified as a Creditors’ Rights Specialist by the ABC for the past ten years and will be joining WWR Partner Rosemary Taft-Milby who currently serves as a Director for the ABC.

Mr. Weinberg will serve as one of 50 directors.  His responsibilities will include attending two board meetings during the course of each year and serving on a committee of the ABC.

Alan H. Weinberg is the Managing Partner of WWR and is based in the Cleveland office.  Mr. Weinberg received a B.A. magna cum laude , Phi Beta Kappa in Mathematics from the Boston University in 1971 and a J.D. from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1974.  A member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, Mr. Weinberg is licensed in Ohio.  He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court (Northern and Southern Districts of OH) and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Mr. Weinberg is currently a member of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law sections of the Cleveland Bar Association, the Commercial Law League of America, the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys, the Northern Ohio Credit Association and the Ohio Creditors Attorneys Association (Educational Chairman).  In addition to being certified as a Creditors’ Rights Specialist by the American Board of Certification, Mr. Weinberg was appointed to Special Counsel by the Ohio Attorney General.  He serves as a Board Member for Care Alliance.  Mr. Weinberg has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer by Law and Politics Magazine and Cincinnati Magazine from 2004-2008.
