Optio Solutions, LLC, an accounts receivable management company, and CrossCheck, Inc., the nation’s third largest check approval and guarantee company, announced Tuesday a donation of $2,577 to the Red Cross to benefit disaster relief efforts for victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Employees of the two companies donated money for a “dress down” pass allowing them to wear jeans and casual dress to work at the corporate office.

“The earthquake and tsunami were devastating to the people in Japan; we found that many employees wanted to do something to help out. Our ‘Support Japan Dress Down Campaign’ was an active way to get involved and give back, and we had a lot of participation,” said Chris Schumacher, President and CEO for Optio Solutions.

Employees of both companies could make a donation to the Red Cross and purchase a pass allowing them to wear jeans and casual dress for a two-week or one-month period ending April 15, 2011.
