ACA is hosting a Capitol Hill Fly-In March 3 and 4, and we hope you will join us for this critical outreach event.

Congressional leaders remain intent on passing legislation on a number of critical issues that could affect your business. As constituents and business leaders in your community, you hold the key to success on our legislative agenda. Members of Congress are representatives of their state and district, and they want to know what burning issues are most important to you. ACA is planning targeted, face-to-face meetings in Washington, D.C. with Members of Congress and their staff to garner support for our federal legislative agenda. These issues include:

  • Financial regulatory reform and the Consumer Financial Protection Agency;
  • The use of auto-dialers to place calls to cell phones;
  • Debt media legislation aimed at improving consumer account record keeping; and
  • Other critical issues.

Members are asked to arrive before noon on Wednesday, March 3 for an afternoon preparatory session to be held in our Washington office. Meetings with your Members of the House and Senate will be scheduled throughout the day on Thursday, March 4. ACA’s Government Affairs Staff will schedule all meetings for ACA Members.

If you are interested in participating in this critical outreach effort, please contact Katie Huber at (202) 547-2670 or huber@acainternational.org. If you will be looking to book a flight right away, you should fly in and out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (airport code DCA) as the alternatives are quite a distance from the city center and therefore require a great deal more time and money to get to and from.

ACA is currently working to reserve a hotel block for participants, and more information will follow.

Thank you for considering joining us for the Spring Fly-In. We look forward to seeing you in Washington!
