Gila CEO Bruce Cummings Elected President of ACA of Texas

Gila, LLC, through its business units, Municipal Services Bureau (MSB) and Gila Group, is pleased to announce that Bruce Cummings, its Chief Executive Officer and Board Member, has been elected President of the American Collectors Association of Texas, a state Unit of ACA International. ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals, is the comprehensive, knowledge-based resource for success in the credit and collection industry.

Our participation with ACA enables us to drive change to ensure all members maintain the high ethical collection standards our clients expect,” said Bruce Cummings, CEO of Gila. ACA’s state units are independently incorporated associations covering one or more states. They serve members as the local industry resource for information, education, state legislative advocacy and more.

Mr. Cummings most recently served as President-Elect of the association. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and as Treasurer. Mr. Cummings will serve as President for the 2011 – 2012 term.

Mr. Cummings joined Gila in 2007 as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. He was later named Chief Marketing Officer, followed by his promotion to President in 2008. Shortly thereafter, he was named Chief Executive Officer and continues to lead the Company today, as well as sit on its Board. He earned an MBA Degree from Syracuse University and has Bachelor of Science Degrees in Physics and Nuclear Engineering. Bruce is also a member of ACA International’s Committee of 100 and was recently nominated for Best CEO in Central Texas, by the Austin Business Journal.
