DAVAO CITY?The first-ever call center in Mindanao has yet to fully operate because of lack of manpower, a government official said.

G-Com Ltd., which was supposed to operate full-blast this quarter, is being operated by the US-based Cyber City Teleservices Ltd.

Teololu Pasawa, city trade and industry director, said the company was having a hard time finding ?competent individuals? to act as e-Representatives (e-Reps).

?The company is facing hardship in finding workers who have competent skills such as fluency in English and other foreign languages,? Teololu said.
