Barron, Newburger, Sinsley & Wier Announces Name Change

Effective April 1, 2009, Barron, Newburger, Sinsley & Wier, PLLC has changed its name to Barron, Newburger & Sinsley, PLLC.

The firm, whose attorneys are best-known for their representation of collection industry members in individual and class actions under the FDCPA, the FCRA, and other federal and state consumer protection statutes, will continue to focus on its representation of the collection and debt-buying industries.

The firm has provided a variety of compliance and training services from coast to coast and in Canada, India, and the Philippines. Its bankruptcy group has represented creditors’ committees and trustees, and defended dozens of collection industry members in suits involving alleged violations of bankruptcy stays and discharge injunctions.

The Austin, Texas-based firm has offices in Houston, the Dallas Metroplex, Tampa, Fla., and Scarsdale, N.Y.

Barbara M. Barron will continue as the Firm’s managing attorney.
