It?s no surprise that Austin-based Gila Corporation CEO Thomas M. Giamboi kicked off the company?s 15th Anniversary in a not-so-ordinary fashion. The Las Vegas-themed celebration began when Giamboi surprised more than 200 employees with a grand entrance at the Gila Corporation offices, located at 6505 Airport Blvd., Suite 100 at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22. Giamboi drove his Harley-Davidson motorcycle into the Gila Corporation Call Center and made his entertainment debut as Elvis Presley!

?This is a fun way to kick off our celebration of 15 great years in business along with rewarding our employees,? Giamboi said. ?We?ve grown to become an industry leading company serving governmental entities and financial institutions nationwide.? The celebration kick-off included Elvis-style giveaways, remarks by Giamboi and light refreshments. The 15th Anniversary celebration includes a schedule of events based on a Las Vegas theme including a charity poker tournament, a Vegas impersonator contest and a casino night. Since Gila Corporation began in 1991 as a collection service for Texas Courts with two employees and no clients, the company has grown to include 450 clients nationwide with 220 employees. During its 15 years of operation, Gila Corporation has collected hundreds of millions of dollars for governmental entities and financial institutions and has created jobs for thousands of Austin area residents. The Austin Business Journal has named Gila Corporation one of Austin?s fastest-growing companies for several years. Gila Corporation operates under two strategic business units with unique capabilities and responsibilities: Municipal Services Bureau (MSB) and Gila Group. MSB collects delinquent fines and fees for municipal, county and state courts. In its 15 years of serving governmental clients, MSB has become an industry leader in national revenue recovery.
