American Profit Recovery, a collection agency based in Massachusetts, participated in a collection industry event called the Collector’s Challenge Month this past April and raised $3,336 for the Association of Credit and Collection’s International Education Foundation.

The funds were all raised internally by employees and the ownership of American Profit Recovery. Employees paid for casual dress in the months of March and April, created team challenges with other employees, worked March Madness brackets and competed for the most Facebook fans on the APR Fan Page among many other activities.

“We have once again proved that we have one of the most dedicated and informed teams in the collection industry,” states Jeff DiMatteo, a partner at American Profit Recovery. “The employees here understand the importance and value of raising funds and awareness for important issues and how that ultimately affects our industry.”

The Association of Credit and Collection’s International Education Foundation funds a number of important initiatives including the consumer advice website, Ask Dr. Debt, scholarships for individuals in the collection industry, and other educational materials for consumers struggling with the issue of bad debt.

This is the third year APR has joined other collection agencies in raising money for this foundation. American Profit Recovery over these last three years has raised close to $8,000 for these educational programs.
