Tampa, FL – Hunter Warfield, Inc., a firm specializing in collections for the multi-housing, commercial, and funeral profession markets, is proud to announce that Todd Wahl, formerly vice president of business operations, has assumed the position as president of the firm.  In his new role, Wahl will be responsible for all aspects of sales and operations.

“The two roles of president and CEO were simply too much for a company with our growth plans,” said Stephen Sobota, the previous president now positioned to focus strictly on strategic matters as Hunter Warfield’s CEO.  “Todd Wahl is a trusted leader with extensive business development experience, and I believe he is ready to take Hunter Warfield to new levels.”

Wahl attended Penn State University and has more than 18 years of senior-level managerial experience in the collections industry.  In addition to overseeing Hunter Warfield’s business development for the past seven years, Wahl played an integral role in launching its “Targeting Excellence” marketing initiatives and developing work strategies and service models to ensure positive results for Hunter Warfield clients.

Hunter Warfield has been at the forefront of implementing innovative systems that allow for an integration of collections with major property management software.  In 2006, the development of proprietary software began enabling Hunter Warfield to acquire immediate approval and acceptance of debtor payments.  The new technology interfaced with Hunter Warfield’s collection process to trigger a 220% increase in immediate debtor payments and a 24% overall liquidation increase from the previous year.  Software integrations also eliminated the need for tedious paperwork and provided the client an electronic way to process delinquent accounts with a click-of-a-mouse.

Increasing client revenue and offsetting the net cost of collections has been a central focus for Hunter Warfield.  In 2007, the firm introduced the first of its kind program to collect interest on debtor accounts; as a result, it helped clients increase revenue amounts at a faster pace.  Applying interest to the balance provided incentive for debtors to submit prompter payments, which maximized the client’s bottom line.  In 2008, Hunter Warfield went on to launch GoCollectNow.com, an on-demand product line and website to promote simpler and more affordable debt collections for smaller property management firms and independent rental owners.  That same year, Hunter Warfield helped spearhead the Multifamily Information and Transactions Standards (MITS), an industry-wide initiative to simplify systems integrations and to standardize automated business processes for collections.

“Hunter Warfield’s investments in its people and technology have translated into better collection results and increased account liquidation for clients, those of whom will remain at the center of our development strategies,” said Wahl, regarding his business outlook.

Combining innovative technology with a team of thoroughly trained professionals has afforded Hunter Warfield clients the opportunity to place either one or all of their delinquent accounts into collections without any costly set-up fees or monthly minimums.  By implementing new systems, Hunter Warfield has cast a wide net to recover bad debt for an increasing number of future clients.

“I always liked that Todd Wahl had an open mind in helping our firm implement new ideas to maintain a competitive advantage,” said Sobota.  “We can believe in him to maintain Hunter Warfield’s track record of success.”
