ABC-Amega Inc., a global commercial receivable management firm headquartered in Buffalo, New York, has named Paul Grolemund divisional vice president in charge of its Credit Information division. In his new position, Paul will be responsible for managing the credit interchange staff, enhancing programs and services, growing membership of ABC-Amega’s existing groups, and developing new industry credit groups.

"We truly value Paul’s industry knowledge, and especially his prior experience with our credit interchange groups," said ABC-Amega CEO, David Herer. "Paul managed the Credit Information division during the period when our Gift Associates Interchange Network (GAIN) and our first automated credit interchange system coalesced into industry leading initiatives. He is well known to our interchange clients and staff, and enjoys their confidence. Paul’s first task will be to complete the staffing of the division and develop a plan for continuing the record growth and innovation our interchanges have achieved since 2002."

A credit interchange is a group of companies that join together to share factual credit information on mutual customers. They are unique in the credit industry in that they are usually member-driven. Members take an active role in determining the rules, cost of membership, marketing the group, and deciding what information is shared.

ABC-Amega has been managing credit groups since 1965. It currently supports six groups in wide-ranging industries from chemicals to giftware. Its Internet-based credit reporting system is one of the most functional and easy to use technologies available.

Paul joined ABC-Amega in 1991. He has held a variety of positions including regional vice president-sales, head of client relations, and general manager-credit information. Paul earned his undergraduate degree in business from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his MBA from Canisius College, Buffalo, New York.
