Columbia Ultimate, an expert in technology and integrated solutions for the collections industry, announced Wednesday it is now Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard 2.0 (PCI DSS) compliant, as determined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, an open global forum that develops, maintains and manages the PCI Security Standards.

PCI DSS compliancy is a collections industry benchmark for the secure handling of credit card information.  In order to become PCI DSS compliant, companies must follow the PCI DSS standard in their processes, procedures and use of systems to adequately protect credit card data.

“The safe and secure handling of our clients’ information is a top priority and we are pleased to have met the rigorous PCI standards,” said Columbia Ultimate’s President and CEO, R. Fred Houston. “We continually work to maintain the highest levels of security and compliance as part of our dedication to provide the best client care in the industry.”
