A company’s fight to keep secret several parts of its winning bid for a Milwaukee County contract goes before a judge today.

Lifeline Systems’ Lifequest business, a Wautoma collection agency, was selected to handle billing services for Milwaukee County EMS but filed a suit after two other bidders, CPR Inc. and EMS Medical Billing Associates LLC, filed open-records requests for parts of Lifeline’s proposal.

Lifeline claims that some of the material ought to be considered “trade secrets” under state law.
