Collection law firm Rausch, Sturm, Israel & Hornik S.C. announced last week that two of its attorneys had been named Wisconsin Rising Stars by Super Lawyers magazine.

Gregory W. Enerson and Julie A. Rausch were named as Wisconsin’s top lawyers under the age of 40 by the award program. Both focus on retail collection law. Only 2.5 percent of the total lawyers in Wisconsin are listed as a Rising Star. The selection procedure uses a multi-step evaluation process that incorporates a system of balloting, peer evaluation and internal research.

Enerson and Rausch were two of only eight layers selected in the "Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights" category out of 350 total Rising Star lawyers. According to the firm, they were the only two that practice at a retail collection firm.

Julie Rausch has a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from Marquette University and has been practicing with the firm for thirteen years. She handles litigation in both small and large claims and post judgment collection matters including garnishments and attachments. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association, the Ho-Chunk Nation Bar Association, and the Commercial Law League of America. She has held numerous committee positions with the Commercial Law League and currently she is the Chair-elect for the Young Members Section as well as the treasurer for the League’s Fund for Public Education. Julie is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and Oklahoma.

Gregory W. Enerson has been with the firm as an associate attorney since graduating cum laude from the Marquette University Law School in 1998. Prior to his graduation, Greg was a law clerk at the firm while attending law school. Greg received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. He is a member of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys and was the contributing author for the Wisconsin portion of the NARCA Creditor-Attorney National Legal Recovery Guide. Greg is also a frequent speaker on the topic of consumer bankruptcies and collateral liquidation. Each June, Greg teaches the Bankruptcy Course at Marquette University’s National Institute on Consumer Credit Management. Greg is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota.
