Jenifer Loon, former ACA International director of government affairs, was elected to a seat in the Minnesota House of Representatives on November 4.

Loon, a Republican, defeated Democratic challenger Jerry Pitzrick by garnering 57 percent of the vote for Minnesota House seat 42B, which represents the western Twin Cities suburb of Eden Prairie. She will fill the Minnesota House seat vacated by fellow Republican Erik Paulsen, who was successful in his bid to win the U.S. House of Representatives seat for Minnesota’s Third District.

Loon worked at ACA from 2003 until 2007 and was the association’s lead federal advocate and legislative strategist. She represented ACA before members of Congress, staff and federal regulatory agencies. Loon was often a featured speaker on legislative and grassroots initiatives at industry conferences during her time at ACA.
