ABC-Amega Inc., a global commercial receivable management firm headquartered in Buffalo, New York, has named Michael Meyers Director, Systems and Member Services of its Credit Information Division. Mike’s responsibilities will include management of goAmega, the Credit Information Division’s internet credit interchange reporting system, as well as implementation of any related upgrades. He will also work with ABC-Amega’s existing credit groups to maintain continual enhancement of the system’s functionality. Additionally, Mike will assume responsibility for managing credit groups while providing outstanding customer service to all existing interchange members. In his new position, Mike will report directly to Paul Grolemund, Divisional Vice President, Credit Information.

A credit interchange is a group of companies that join together to share factual credit information on mutual customers. They are unique in the credit industry in that they are usually member-driven. Members take an active role in determining the rules, cost of membership, marketing the group, and deciding what information is shared.
ABC-Amega has been managing credit groups since 1965. It currently supports six groups in wide-ranging industries from chemicals to giftware. Its Internet-based credit reporting system is one of the most functional and easy to use technologies available.

Mike, who previously held the position of Project Specialist with ABC-Amega, is an experienced technical leader with a proven track record of managing large systems development and providing strategic business and technical direction. He has more than 30 years experience with The ABC Companies Inc., parent firm of ABC-Amega and was responsible for developing the firm’s first automated Credit Interchange System in 1989.

"We are thrilled to have Mike join the credit interchanges on a full time basis as he has been very active in the design of our current systems. He has a true passion for the groups and this line of service," said ABC-Amega CEO, David Herer. "Mike has worked with many of the Executive Boards of our credit groups and is extremely well respected by all the members we serve."

Mike has an extensive technical background and training in platforms, tools, networking and telecommunications. He holds a BA in Information Systems from SUNY Empire State College in Buffalo, NY.
