Accenture (formerly known as Andersen Consulting ? yes, that Andersen), a ?global management consulting, technology services, and outsourcing company,? has been awarded a debt-collection contract that could potentially amount to about $54 million over its first year and seven option years, according to a story on GCN.com.



The contract allows for the collection of debts owed to the Federal Government. It also provides a hint of irony in that the contract also sets up the marshalling of information needed to support lawsuits against individuals and corporations that allegedly owe money to the U.S. government.
