Columbia Ultimate, the industry expert in providing software and integrated solutions for collecting money, today announced the promotion of Michael England to chief financial officer.  Previously, a vice president of finance, England will be responsible for all areas of finance, accounting, and facilities functions of the company, as well as negotiating and maintaining contracts with clients and suppliers.

?Throughout his tenure with the company, Mike has provided invaluable leadership to the finance team,” said R. Fred Houston, president and CEO, Columbia Ultimate. “In addition to developing our financial infrastructure, he has been instrumental in day-to-day finance operations, as well as in the execution of major corporate initiatives.  His deep knowledge and expertise qualify him to take on this vital role in the company.”

England has more than 20 years of industry experience in finance and operational management. Prior to joining Columbia Ultimate in 2000, he worked in the aviation and ship repair industry in the areas of finance, accounting, and marketing. He also filled the role as director of administration and finance for a land use and environmental planning consulting organization.

England holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology and an MBA from Willamette University.  England also holds a position on the board of Columbia Credit Union.
