A federal judge has found a 44-year-old Gilbert man guilty of bank fraud involving more than $3.6 million from April 1999 to June 2000, according the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona.


Robert C. Hazlett, who was president of Valley Acceptance Corporation, a debt collection agency, was convicted of conspiring with four of his employees to submit fraudulent applications for consolidated student loans to a bank in Richmond, Va., the Attorney’s Office said.
