Chicago – Tech Lock, announces the release of its Tech Lock Certified™ Program for the ARM industry. The ARM industry must comply with multiple federal and state laws and regulations, in addition to industry standards and contractual requirements.

Addressing each regulation individually is both time consuming and cost prohibitive. Tech Lock has built a compliance matrix to address all applicable data security requirements into a single audit – the Tech Lock Certified program. Tech Lock Certified   was designed to get the ARM company out of the IT audit and assessment business and allow them to focus on their core business.

The program tests a company’s security controls against multiple regulations and standards, including (but not limited to) PCI DSS, GLBA, FISMA/NIST SP800-53, Red Flags Rule, HIPAA, HITECH Act, Minnesota Plastic Card Security Act, Nevada Senate Bill No. 227, Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00, and ISO 27002. It is meant to give a company a "holistic view" of its security and compliance posture.

The certification process begins with, Tech Lock’s seasoned information security professionals performing a comprehensive on-site assessment. The assessment looks for compliance gaps pertaining to all applicable regulations and standards.

Tech Lock’s security auditors are PCI Qualified Security Assessors and hold numerous technical certifications. All auditors possess years of collection management systems experience, including Artiva, FACS, CRS and CU. This makes Tech Lock auditors uniquely qualified to assess ARM-related companies. In addition to auditing expertise, they also understand applicable laws, the everyday realities of an ARM company as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the predominant ARM software providers and vendors.

"Tech Lock Certification is a win-win for ARM companies and service providers. Service providers save time and resources by providing their Tech Lock Certified report current and potential clients instead of filling out numerous security questionnaires with different formats. ARM companies can ensure compliance with multiple regulatory requirements that require third party assessments when sensitive information is being transferred," says Todd Langusch, Tech Lock’s chief security officer. Langusch also is an ACA certified instructor.
